Camden is my Hometown

…well sort of. Kaz grew up in Kentish town and spent most of her days around the area. Now it is our sanctuary. If we’re in need for a bit of retail therapy, our go-to is Camden. We’ll spend the day rummaging around Stables Market and eating falafel by the lock. I have found some amazingly unique brands and outfits that you can’t get anywhere else. Some areas in London come in and out of fashion, but Camden has always been Camden. It may be busier now than it ever used to be, but it’ll always be a place where you’re free to be who you want to be and wear what you want to wear. Judgement free. On my latest trip to the lock I came across a hidden gem just next to the Stables entrance: Killer Cereal Café. For all intents and purposes it looks like any other quirky food joint in the market and because of that you may not have given it a second glance. But lucky for me I had the serious food munchies that day and fancied a second course of lunch, so decided to check it out. They had all sorts of fantastic American novelty cereals that are probably not the best for the cholesterol, but taste amazing. So after ordering a bowl of Unicorn Poop I was given a VHS of Hook to mark our table and that’s when I walked round to the seating area and was transported back to my youth. The place was filled with 90s nostalgia. I sat on a powerpuff girls bed and marveled in the he-man toys, arcade games and spice girls wallpaper. I was in heaven!
